Lachtal: The legendary ski area
The Lachtal ski area is legendary and is often referred to as the “Styrian Arlberg”. The mountain station is located at 2,222 metres above sea level, making it the highest ski lift station in Styria. Up here, a magnificent mountain panorama opens up, with the most scenic slopes at your feet.
Ski Area Test winner!
The International Ski Area Test has been an anonymous quality check with comprehensive test criteria for 27 years. Numerous jurors were again anonymously on the road in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy last winter season and assessed around 50 ski resorts according to precise criteria. At the official presentation of the test results in the renowned Swiss tourist resort of Gstaad, Lachtal was delighted to receive numerous awards.

Lachtal for Kids
Great importance is placed on child-friendliness on Lachtal. “Kinder-Lachtal” is the area for little ones, protected and safe, with a magic carpet for floating up high and a rope lift for beginners. Plus, there’s a mini figure slalom course, a wave track, and lots more.
The “Wildes Lachtal” adventure trail is a great opportunity for young adventurers to meet deer, rabbits, fawns and other forest animals.

With 36 km of blue, red and black pistes and ski routes and 150 sunny hectares, Lachtal is one of the largest ski areas in Styria. It is characterised by its vastness and high alpine character, as well as the excellent quality of its pistes and many cosy chalets.

Seit der Freestyle Ski & Snowboard WM 2015 hat das Lachtal regelmäßig internationale Events ausgetragen. Vom 22. März bis zum 24. März 2024 wird der weltbeste Snowboard Nachwuchs die Junioren Weltmeisterschaft austragen! Die Bewerbe finden am „Hebert Hang“ (Piste 2a) statt. Wichtige Info für alle Zuschauer: Das Renngelände erreicht man mit Ski & Board über die Lachtal 6er Sesselbahn. Für Fußgänger gibt es am Freitag und am Samstag ab 8.30 Uhr einen Bus – Shuttle ab der Lachtal Ki…
Frühaufsteher & Sonnenskiläufer können sich auf die Osterferien freuen, da startet der Liftbetrieb nämlich schon um 8.00 Uhr! Von Samstag, 23. März bis Ostermontag, 1. April (Saisonschluss) sind die Lifte jeweils von 8.00 bis 15.00 Uhr in Betrieb. So kann man am Vormittag die frisch präparierten Pisten und am Nachmittag die Frühlingssonne auf den Terrassen der Hütten genießen.
From 18 March – 1 April 2024, children under 16 ski for free when accompanied by at least one parent. This applies only to multi-day ski passes for 2 days or more.
